As I write this, my boys are out in the front yard selling produce from their garden.
"Selling" involves walking up and down the sidewalk yelling "Produce for sale! Get your produce! First customer gets a free bouncy ball!"
Can you even believe that they haven't had one customer yet?!? I mean, who wouldn't want a free bouncy ball?
We do live in tiny town...so traffic is a little slow this time of day. However I'm sure the neighbors will be stopping by to
In the mean time, I have a to-do list a mile long. First up: Give Gus another bath. It turns out, that Google (my source of information on any and everything) says that Hounds have a "distinct odor." I can verify this to be true, it's distinctly smelly.
Happy Thursday people, and if you'd be so kind, leave a comment and say hello. Lately, I sorta feel like I'm just talking to myself...and I'm quite a bore. Speak up and entertain me.
Gus does not look willing to be bathed...lol!!!
ReplyDeletehi :)
ReplyDeletei love the boys veggie selling project- hope they get some customers!
Hey There! Do they have shipping? : ) Pierre barfed on my comforter again, so I feel your pain about smelly stuff.
ReplyDeleteI have a smelly dog that needs to be bathed right about now too! Too bad we don't live closer, or I'd send her on over! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd that's why we don't have a dog or cat or pet of any kind, well that and my oldest is allergic.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday!
Do they have peppers? I need peppers. We'll stop by after a bit.
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of produce are they selling? I would love some home grown yummies at my house.
ReplyDeleteI will pay them for their produce AND the shipping.
Just let me know . . . I live in Illinois.
:-)
I <3 your blog! It's nice to hear about a family that is real... smelly dogs and free bouncy balls! Keep writing!
ReplyDeleteoh how I wish I could drive over today! how cute are they! My boys want to have a garage sale just to sell rocks and origami.
ReplyDeleteSelling their produce is such a cute idea, probably less bees than lemonade too! I loved your post yesterday too, about looking inside. I have done that before, and I love how warm and cozy it looks from the outside looking in!
ReplyDeleteAww...I wish I lived in your town. I would SO buy produce from those cutie pies! Let us know if they get customers!
ReplyDeleteI would so buy produce from them! I think you should have them sell out of the back of your van at the pool!!!!! ;) lol!
ReplyDeleteMy dog is not a hound, but she is intensely smelly. Every time I let outside she rolls in the dirt until it's all embedded in her hair and then she comes inside and streaks my white walls and ruins my floors. I have a full-time job cleaning up after her. You don't want another dog do you? I'll pay you to take her. :-)
ReplyDelete-FringeGirl
hello!
ReplyDeletehow'd the bath go?
i think i might just eat more veggies if i could buy them from such cuties!
Girl tell me about it... I've started a new blog and have had, count em, zero comments on the past several posts. Boy that just makes my morale meter sink to a new low. Yuck.
ReplyDeleteSo now I'm sharing the comment love because I know how much (0 comments) sucks. :)
So, your boys... they're so generous to throw in that bouncy ball. My Noah is trying to "collect" those things. He's probably buy some produce just to add another one to his jar. :)
I've got a great recipe for lemon zucchini bread if they don't sell all the veggies first. :-)
ReplyDeleteOK. Too sweet. I would have totally bought a veggie from them.
ReplyDeleteThat was the BEST corn EVER!!!! So sad we just had the last of it!!
ReplyDelete"distinct odor"?! Ha! But he looks so very noble and a bit regal in that pic!
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah! This is Walking Butterfly-Brenda Susan, I have opened a second blog just for ministry women! Come on by if interested!
What your boys need are some rabbit costumes.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in high school, the little boy (about 5yo) across the street showed up on our doorstep one afternoon wearing a rabbit costume with a basket full of veggies from their garden. He introduced himself as The Health Rabbit. Would we like some vegetables?
My mother COULD NOT resist.
I think this time of year is slow for blogging. Plus, FB and Twitter take a bite, too.
the boys need to talk to Autumn -- when she was their age, she had a very successful lemonade stand -- she made a lot of money in our old neighborhood. Of course, that was only until it distracted a car & motorcyle and caused a pretty major accident :(
ReplyDeleteHow can you NOT buy veggies from those cuties!?
ReplyDeleteGus. The name is so perfect for him. What a cutie! Beautiful family. I loved this post. be blessed, bobbi
ReplyDeleteI want veggies!!! They could sell me anything, even tomatoes...and I hate tomatoes! :)
ReplyDeleteI would gladly have helped the boys out since we are always looking for fresh veggies. I got tickled when I saw Gus since that is my employer's name.
ReplyDeleteOdie
