I Heart Them

I've been thinking a lot lately about things I love.  And yes, I am one of those people who says love in all sorts of contexts.  I'm also one that says things without always technically meaning things.

Have I lost you yet?

Here's some of my favorite (random) things right now:

  • Lily Padz.  They're reusable silicone nursing pads.  I heart them.

  • My back door that is now painted red...

Ignore my shadow ;)

  • The blog Morning By Morning.  I adore it.  I was hooked the moment I found Stacey...which has been awhile ago now.  Her life sucked me right in...and the blog...well just go look.  I can't quite explain it, but it plain just makes me happy every time I visit.  The pictures, the lay out, THE COLLECTION...seriously, I want to copy her in about ten different areas.  I mean, really, this is a gal who makes me want to collect vintage Pyrex...who knew!?! She just opened her own Etsy shop and...well...part of me doesn't even want to tell you about it because it's so dang cute I want to buy it all myself.  She has me hooked on vintage.
  • Lucy Feet.  Good grief I can't leave them alone.  Or cover them up.  Man I love baby feet.  Grown up feet = bleh.  Baby feet = sweetness.

More to come...

  1. I have a thing for baby piggies too! Not a fan of the Lily Pads though. I have a hard time with them...

  2. I TOTALLY agree about baby feet! Even Jack's one-year-old feet are cute! And I TOTALLY agree about adult feet, even mine, gross! :) I got a lot of comments last summer because he rarely ever had socks on - I just wanted to see them/touch them whenever I wanted. :)

  3. "Grown up feet = bleh. Baby feet = sweetness." I couldn't agree more! Will definitely be checking out Morning By Morning soon. Sounds lovely. One of my other favorite bloggers collects vintage pyrex, as does my mom. I'm thinking I should start too :)

  4. Oooh, baby feet. I could nom-nom-nom them all day.

I had my husband paint the door from our house to garage Rapture Red. I love it and would gladly paint every door in our house the same color. He says no.

I've always been intrigued by Lily Padz, but wondered if you always feel sticky/not dry while using them? I'm one of those "lucky" ladies who leaks constantly until the baby is weaned, and I hate the sensation of being damp even a little.

  5. gretchen, my baby is 8 months old and that is exactly why I don't like my lily padz. :( It gets tricky when switching sides b/c one is full of milk!!! ewwwwww!

  6. I really, really wanted to love lily padz, but I think my millk flow must be too much (or was three years ago) because no matter how much I pressed those suckers, and made sure there was no air bubbles, I would end up with a pad full of milk.

  7. I totally get your love of "things." Though it's been any years, I distinctly remember the value of good nursing pads...Don't think lily padz were around back then for me (I'm ancient of days!) Love your red door. As to Lucy's feet, I love 'em. I held and kissed Brennan's feet constantly when he was a baby! It's wierd perhaps that even as a adult, when he's home, sitting on his bed or the couch without shoes, I'll sit down near them as we chat and inevitably end up touching them still. = )
