Kitchen After:
It didn't take long at all, which is the benefit of a small kitchen ;)
I also picked up a couple of real plants the other day...Ben couldn't believe it, he asked me twice if they were really real. He's given them a week to live before the boys destroy them or they just wither up and die from living with us. He's probably right...I won't get too attached. But they're sure cute in the mean time.
And the last of the winter home makeover is these cute green pillows that I got at WalMart for $5 a piece. (Ignore the dog, he wouldn't move)
Now, I've got some packing to do...more on that tomorrow.
Love the yellow!!
ReplyDeleteIt's looking very bright and sun-shiny!!!
ReplyDeleteI do really like the new color of the kitchen!!!
And is that a Christmas Cookie Yankee Candle I see on the stove?
The yellow is nice! I found you via Student of Life's blog and I must tell you. Your endorsement of the book and your pictures inspired me to make the book my giveaway prize in celebration of my 100th post. I'll have an alternate book for folks like you who already have The House that Cleans Itself. Happy Day! ~Mindy
ReplyDeleteLookin good!
ReplyDeleteReally Cute!
ReplyDeleteVery Pretty and bright! Loved the green too! The yellow just seems to brighten everything up.

ReplyDeleteAll you're doing looks great! I'm almost inspired to do some work around my house! I'm not at all a decorator or organizer, but I am thinking about checking out the book you have been reading at our library.
ReplyDeleteLove the yellow...and your dog! If I wanted a picture of our sofa, it would include our dog too. He doesn't budge from the sofa except for eating and other necessary things:)
The yellow most definately gives off happy vibes....and just put you some ice cubes on those plants one day a week. they'll melt with out being messy and you're plants will stay hydrated (and hopefully alive) :)
ReplyDeleteI'm looking at my kitchen right now (noon time) and the light makes it look kinda orange-ish, but this morning it looked more yellow...who knows what it will look like tonight?!? :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great yellow! It looks great. I just love the feeling of finishing a painting project!
ReplyDeleteThe yellow looks great! I believe your dog is hiding from the puparazzi ;)
ReplyDeleteLove the yellow! My kitchen in our old house pre-move was the same color. And I LOVE those green pillows - my all time favorite decorating color!
ReplyDeletewooohoooo!!! love it!
ReplyDeleteGreat Yellow! Can you tell me the brand and exact name of it?
ReplyDeleteIt is really close to a shade I've been looking for.....
love the kitchen and all you are doing - you have been busy
ReplyDeleteSo have I -have you seen her?
My Christmas trees are still up- they may become Valentine trees- do you think I need your book?
You are inspiring as always!
Love ya,Lorie
Looks great, Sarah! :) I always love me a yellow kitchen!
ReplyDeleteI like it! I begin my home makeover projects this weekend. First is to paint the fireplace mantle and bookshelves white...I'll keep you posted.
ReplyDeleteYellow just makes me happy! It looks great! And I am so impressed with your quickness!
ReplyDeleteMindy: I got it at Sherwin-Williams, it's called Harvester SW 6373, but I gotta warn ya, it looks yellow/gold in that pic on my blog, but in real life it's more orangish/yellow.
ReplyDeleteI don't normally like yellow, but this is so pretty! I really like it!! Don't worry, plants in my house rarely survive a week! :-)
ReplyDeleteLooks fabulous!!! I love a yellow kitchen!
ReplyDeleteAnytime you want to head this way, you can paint my kitchen! :)
Now that's a yellow I could live with! Looks awesome, Sarah!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE everything about your makeover. Looks great and so fresh and happy. You're inspiring me to redo my bathroom. Everybody LOVES it, but I didn't decorate it and it's totally not my taste. It's also dark and a little depressing to me. I'm getting myself psyched to start painting...and break the news to FringeMan. :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful job!
-FringeGirl
I love it! Super cute and cheery :)
ReplyDeleteI was going to ask for brand and color, but then I saw Mindy asked and you answered so WOPPEE!
ReplyDeleteI like the green plant, you are going to be surprised how long it lives. You will think "man, it's looking sick. I think it's dying."
Then just when you build up the guts to toss it, you'll see new green growth. I've had a plant for nearly a year now...it looks sick...but it keeps growing...
The green pillows are fun. You are so springy! Love the yellow!
Oh, I just love the yellow! It really did make it brighter and more cheerful! Good job!
ReplyDeleteAre you out for hire? It's warmer down here. We have been having lots of sunshine :)
LOVE IT !!!! That is my favorite color - have it in our living room.
ReplyDeleteNice job - it looks great.
Fabulous, beautiful and oh so happy!! I like it!
ReplyDeleteSunshine and cheer! I like!
ReplyDeleteHaha! I love Odie on the couch. That's where Superdog would be, too.
ReplyDeleteYellow is one of my favorite wall colors -- the kitchen looks so inviting!!
Cute Cute!!
ReplyDeleteOooooo, I like it.
ReplyDeletePics like this make me green with envy....I miss OUR house.
Boring.white.walled.Seminary.apartment. At least we only have to live with it a year.
Lady, you rock. I can't believe how fast you are and it does look great. I'm loving it. My back entry is yellow and sometimes I just want to stand in there and stare at it so I can feel good. Then I look down and see all the dog food everywhere and leave.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great yellow! I really love it. Kind of makes me want to do my youngest girls' room yellow instead of the light green I was planning- my other girls' room is purple and I can't do pink for the little girls because a pink and a purple is just too much of the girl colors for resale :(
ReplyDeletethe yellow looks great! and i still freak out every time i see that we have the same couch!
ReplyDeleteI love your yellow kitchen! Looks great, Sarah. :) Yellow rooms always make me happy.
ReplyDeleteYay Sarah! Nice yellow, very pretty. My livingroom is a similar buttery yellow & I love how it changes all day long when different light hits it. Doing yellow was scarey but we finaly found the right one, looks like you did it on the first try, yay!
ReplyDeleteExcellent color choice. It makes your kitchen so friendly and warm. Good luck with your plants!
ReplyDeleteWhose blog is this? Heloise?
ReplyDeleteLooks good...I love reading your blog.
ReplyDeleteLooking good! I think that's the buttery yellow that I have in all my common rooms - a Laura Ashley color whose name I can't recall. It's been a few years since I painted. :) The dog is is finishing touch!
ReplyDeletei like the yellow... alot! my favortie color :)
ReplyDeleteyou really are doing alot since reading the book. is it telling you to buy all this new stuff or you just wanting to? just wondering that if i get the book, then am i going to have to buy all new stuff to organize my home???
Looks great!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThat yellow is beautiful! Well done! I found your blog through Angela Nazworth (an old friend of mine from college). I like you blog. Your dog is also hysterical!
