I need to be upfront with ya'll today. I have tried and tried to come up with something other than what I am going to blog about today. But I can't get it out of my head. So, I figure, if I just post about it, maybe it will leave. Maybe.
What could be so important and fascinating that I just can't stop thinking about it?
Adjustable Waist Jeans.
Yep...you read it right. As I got my two year old dressed today...I did the same thing I do every day...I lifted praise to God for adjustable waist jeans. It's true...I happen to think they're genius.
Today though...it went further. I thought to myself, why just the kids jeans?!? I know they have them in khakis for men...but why not my favorite jeans from Express?!?! On those days, when I'm feeling a little extra bloated *ahem* I could just loosen that little elastic band with the button and no one would even know!!!
It would totally obliviate the need for my fat jeans. You know the ones. They're the nice old jeans, a size (or 2) bigger than the regular ones, saved especially for those days. I think I'm on to something...if anyone knows a designer at Express...please fill them in :) I'm just sayin'...
I was recently disappointed to learn adjustable waists only go so far in kids clothes, but I am not ready to push for them in my jeans.
ReplyDeleteAMEN!!
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking that this morning as I was adjusting Mason's pants :)
You are too funny!
hi Sarah!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment on my blog! It's nice to meet you.
I have to say that I smiled when I read your blog title...we call our home "The Parsonage" because of last name...
I'm a PK and praise God every day, we never had to live in one!!!
And AMEN to the adjustable waist band! My girls wouldn't be able to wear pants if they didn't make those!
Have a blessed day!
steph.
Oh, I'm afraid to tell you, but, they HAVE invented adjustable waist pants for women...only they are the dreaded 'elastic waist' pants that probably lurk in our future. Aaahhhhhh....[that is me running away screaming]
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your daydreams, though... LOL!

P.S. Good to know/sorry to hear we are living the same day! ;-)
Okay, from someone who has worked in....ummmm....what should I call it.....Senior Retail.....they make adjustable waistbands for the Seniors....it is very unattractive....it is on the outside of the waistband! Maybe in time....they will make them at "our stores"....or soon we will be in that SR category and not even care that it is blatantly on the outside of the pant! ha ha!
ReplyDeleteAt least we finally got STRETCH jeans....remember the old kind?!!!?! horrible!
This post made me smile. I think you are on to something :)
ReplyDeleteToo funny! Can I just say I loved my maternity pants - just for that reason! If they made cute pants with adjustable waists I'd be all over it!
ReplyDeleteI totally am with you on this one. My favorite jeans are Express jeans - only one problem: I've got to buy them to fit my booty and then, they're too big in the waist. This would help me a lot! Who can we call about this?
ReplyDeleteA wonderful idea! My girls have to have adjustable waist. It would be great if I could have some too.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I am Rachel G. on Wendi's blog link. I am just starting to read "strangers" blogs. It is strange to start to feel that you know people who you have never met. Good luck with your race!
*LAUGHING* You could just be onto something really lucrative. :)
ReplyDeleteSo...get to designin' girl. There's a fortune to be made. I'm jest sayin'
ReplyDeleteYou're a genius.
ReplyDeleteI had a baby in January, and I'm now buying my THIRD new set of clothes this year. Can't quite get back into my old clothes for summer, can't stomach the thought of wearing maternity.
Adjustable-waisted jeans would rock my world.
Love those adjustable waist bands... otherwise both my girls would be walking around with their pants around their knees. As for me, mine stay up no problem.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, thanks for stopping by my blog the other day.
I would understand this post better if I wore jeans more than I wore pajamas. :) Can't help it - I always have pjs on. LOVE adjustables for the kids, though - great post. Elastic and maternity comes to mind.
